Welcome to Sociology Class – Grade 12!
In this final year, you will explore society and its dynamics more deeply. The Sociology course focuses on understanding social change, modernization, and globalization, as well as the roles of individuals and social institutions in creating a just and sustainable society.
In Semester 1, you will learn about social change, modernization, and globalization, and analyze how these processes affect Indonesian society. You will also be encouraged to observe and critically examine real social phenomena around you.
In Semester 2, the learning emphasis will shift toward community empowerment, social development, and civic participation in promoting justice and social welfare. Through project-based learning and social research activities, you will develop empathy, reflection, and awareness toward social issues that shape today’s world.
The learning outcomes include the ability to identify, analyze, and evaluate social phenomena, as well as to design relevant and contextual social solutions. By the end of the course, you are expected to become critical thinkers and active citizens who care about building an inclusive and equitable society.
